There are many exciting things taking place at the Salton Sea and a strong Chamber of Commerce will be necessary to steer economic growth and development in the proper direction, as well as face the inevitable challenges that prosperity and growth bring with it.

Imagine getting your businesses’ name out to hundreds of people all at once. You can! Advertise in our Pelican Post Newsletter. 12 issues. Ad costs start as low as $15 an issue. The Pelican also gives you the opportunity to insert flyers for $150 a month (You supply your own Flyers). Display your business card for the whole Chamber membership to see! For a cost of only $20 per month, your business card can be placed in our Mailer Business Card Spotlight page.

Want visibility? Want people to find you? What better way than by advertising in our yearly updated map.

VILLAGE  BUSINESS 8x10 SIGN PROGRAM
This program gives members an opportunity to advertise their businesses on an attractive 8x10 sign frame. The WSCC takes information on your business creates the frame, and places it on a display stand with a business card holder for your cards. Sign frames are reserved on a first come, first served basis. The fees are: $15.00 one time construction, $7.00 per month, which is billed quarterly.

Monthly networking opportunity. Showcase your business to other members, general public and prospective clients all while having fun. Donate and win Raffle prizes. Enter into the 50/50, or Sponsor a Mixer. Another great way to advertise! Approximate attendance: 50+

HONORARY MAYOR’S LUNCHEON
Tri-monthly event (January, April, October). Open to general public and prospective members. Pre & Post table networking following Mayor’s address. Meet new members – introductions, pictures and plaques handed out at event. Approximate attendance: 50+

Member Benefits

1. All Chamber business members are listed on the Chamber's web site. The Chamber offers free links to your business web site and email address.

2. The Chamber will help promote the Grand Opening of any new Chamber business member with a ribbon cutting ceremony and announcement on the Chamber's web site and publications.

3. The Chamber Mixers in which Members or the Chamber will host. Members  of the Chamber and their guests can meet and exchange ideas and introduce their business to other members and the community at large.

4. The Chamber will explore the possibility of joining the Business Expo, which offers the members of participating Chambers the opportunity to promote their businesses to thousands of potential customers.

5. The Chamber will seek special rates through local publications to advertise member's businesses.

6. The Chamber will host a series of guest speakers which will afford members the opportunity to meet leaders in the business community as well as elected officials.

7. The Chamber will sponsor local events that will provide member businesses the opportunity to participate in community activities.

8. The Chamber will issue a plaque to those outstanding businesses that significantly participate in the growth of our community and actively engage in providing the youth an opportunity to enrich their lives in a drug-free environment.

9. The Chamber will honor two individuals "Woman of the Year" & "Man of the Year" who demonstrates outstanding citizenship and hold a Reception Mixer in their honor.

11. The Chamber will become active with other Chambers of Commerce in both Imperial and Coachella Valleys and will open up new opportunities for its members to participate in events sponsored by other Chambers.

It is extremely important that you consider a membership in the West Shores Chamber of Commerce either as a business member or individual member, even if the above mentioned member benefits do not apply to you directly.

Your community will be making significant changes in the near future and these changes will either be beneficial or detrimental to the community.

The West Shores Chamber of Commerce will be one of the few organizations locally that will provide you with an opportunity to actively participate in these changes.

With your help and support, the members of the Board of Directors of the West Shores Chamber of Commerce will institute those policies and procedures that will lay the foundation for West Shores of the Salton Sea and surrounding communities to proceed in the direction of self government and take control of their own futures.
